Assistant Manager

The Pay & Role

• Starting on $29-$35 per hour depending on experience


• Work 5 days a week, either Tuesday to Saturday or Friday to Tuesday, on a rotating 2-week roster, ensuring time off on weekends every other week


• Opportunity for the right candidate to progress into a GM role with a salary of 90k plus, across multiple sites and regions

Skills / Experience / What we are looking for:

• You have experience managing a grunty venue with high sales in a gastro pub environment


• You are familiar working with bands and/or DJs and know how to create an awesome atmosphere


• You enjoy working nights on the busiest shifts and will do whatever you can to keep the party going and ensure sales are maximised


• Excellent presentation and strong clear communication


• A managers certificate or LCQ is required


• You're looking for a long term career in hospitality


• A relevant qualification at Level 4 or above of the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF); or at least 2 years of relevant experience

You will:

• Ensure the environment within the site is always top notch


• Guarantee the customer journey for your outlet is being followed by all team members


• Make sure quality of products, plus waiting times exceed expectation


• Take responsibility for daily/ weekly procedures including ordering, receiving and stock take


• Lead your team, provide feedback and set a high example by always operating above the line
