*Please note you must have the legal right to work in NZ to be eligible for this position* Our client is seeking an experienced individual to lead their Pick and Dispatch operations at their distribution centre. This role involves ensuring daily pick and outbound workflows are efficiently managed, meeting expected results, and leading teams by example.
Requirements: - Strong communication and time management skills.
- Excellent Time Management.
- Intermediate Navision proficiency.
- Proficient in MS Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in warehousing and logistics.
- High competency in performance management.
- Ability to recognize talent and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: - Report directly to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager
- Lead the team from the floor.
- Collaborate with Customer Service and Admin team on incoming orders and daily workflow.
- Assess order workflow and allocate team resources accordingly.
- Coordinate with other Operations team members to re-allocate resources as needed.
- Work with support roles to ensure KPIs are met, including coaching team members.
- Maintain continuous interaction between pick and dispatch operations.
- Ensure material handling equipment and supplies are up to date.
- Liaise with freight providers to ensure service and performance levels are met.
Performance Metrics: - Ensure 100% of consignments are dispatched the same day.
- Conduct QA checks on 5% of daily orders.
- Ensure 100% of freight carriers are loaded on time according to schedule.
- Maintain key performance standards, including pick-rate matches.
- Develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Uphold Health and Safety standards.
