Associate

Our Litigation team is looking for a Solicitor or Associate to join us in either our Auckland or Wellington office.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside some of New Zealand's leading intellectual property litigators on a broad range of complex and high-profile matters. Working with innovative local and international clients across a variety of industries, you'll help protect, enforce and defend their intellectual property rights while delivering practical, commercially focused advice.

As a Solicitor or Associate in AJ Park's Litigation team, you'll play an integral role in advising clients on intellectual property disputes and litigation matters, gaining exposure to high-quality work while building your expertise in a collaborative and supportive environment. Whether you're looking to deepen your IP litigation experience or take the next step in your legal career, this role offers genuine opportunities for professional growth and career progression.

Some key responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of intellectual property disputes, litigation and enforcement matters.


• Prepare legal research, opinions, pleadings, evidence and other Court and IP Office documentation.


• Assist with and, where appropriate, appear in proceedings before the Courts, IPONZ and IP Australia.


• Build and maintain trusted client relationships by delivering practical, commercially focused advice.


• Manage matters effectively while meeting financial and performance expectations.


• Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to business development initiatives and help grow AJ Park's client relationships.


• Mentor junior team members (Associate level) and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.


• Stay up to date with developments in intellectual property law and contribute to thought leadership through articles, presentations and industry events.
