Job Description - Audit Manager

What you'll do:

You will manage the planning and delivery of audits across a portfolio of clients, whilst leading and mentoring a high performing team. You’ll ensure a high level of client service and the provision of long term client relationships. You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation, identifying and mitigating business risks and final file reviews.

  • Manage and review field audits according to firm's policies, procedures, and current legislation
  • Facilitate planning of audits, arrange timetables for audit field work, assign team members and oversee execution
  • Identify business risks applicable to the client and use professional judgement to assess materially on an audit
  • Ensure key internal controls are in place at a client and decide the best approach to use
  • Review all planning documents in advance of field work beginning and ensure appropriate meetings are held with audit team
  • Deliver high level of customer service and establish good working rapport with client staff
  • Supervise audit team member's performance and quality of output to meet overall project requirements
  • Perform final file reviews, ensuring review notes are cleared and the file prepared for Director review

What you bring:

You will have advanced proficiency in fundamental audit skills including risk management & control, business acumen, influence, problem solving and financial analysis. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to communicate complex technical issues in non-technical terms with clients. You’ll bring a high level of service skills, with the ability to establish good working relationships with clients. Ideally you’ll have previous experience in coaching, mentoring and assisting in the development of team members.

  • A high level of current technical knowledge and expertise

  • Excellent attention to detail with results oriented approach to work
  • Effective time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
