Note: Partly is headquartered in Christchurch but has employees across NZ, AU, IN, PH, JP, UK and the EU. This position needs to be based in Christchurch HQ full-time (40 hours per week).

🖍️ This role

As an Automotive Fitment QA Specialist at Partly, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of vehicle data across our organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive research, manage our automotive parts data standard, and correct any errors or inconsistencies. This role reports to the Data Quality Lead and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to maintaining the highest standards of automotive data quality in a fast-paced and evolving industry.

đź’» What will you do

  • Research and analyse vehicle data from various sources, including manufacturer specifications, internal databases, and industry standards, to establish and maintain a comprehensive parts data standard.

  • Identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies in vehicle and parts data, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Conduct thorough data validation and verification processes to ensure compliance with established standards, resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams to define and implement data quality assurance procedures and workflows, incorporating feedback from internal and external sources.

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data management processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to vehicle data management and quality assurance, applying this knowledge to enhance our data practices.

  • Work with data from internal and external stakeholders, such as manufacturers, suppliers, and industry associations, to establish data exchange protocols and resolve data-related issues.

  • Work alongside other team members and stakeholders on data management best practices, ensuring a consistent understanding and application of data standards and quality control procedures.

🥷 Your skills

  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and specifications, with a focus on auto parts data research and management.

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive industry, with a track record of successfully managing parts data and ensuring data quality.

  • Attention to detail and a systematic approach to data research and validation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify data inconsistencies, diagnose root causes, and propose effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective engagement with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A passion for data accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of parts data quality.

  • A background in hands-on automotive AND IT experience (Data focus preferred).
