Automotive Technician - Rapid Progression

Morrison Mitsubishi is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician, to contribute to the ongoing success of our brand-new workshop in Sockburn.

You will be joining a family-owned and highly reputable company, which has been supplying cars in NZ for over 20 years and is driven by passion and dedication to the automotive industry. Morrison Group now has 3 locations in Canterbury and represents 2 major new car franchises: Mitsubishi and Renault. 

The ideal candidate would be able to work closely with our workshop team in this fast-paced role, to carry out mechanical repairs, including servicing, routine maintenance, and all other mechanical duties. Furthermore, you must be willing to go the extra mile, and be able to work well unsupervised. Having franchise vehicle servicing experience and a current WOF certification preferred but not essential.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Maintenance of vehicles, which includes servicing, repairing, and general safety checks - (incl hybrids)
• New vehicle preparation and accessory fitting.
• Maintain high performance through ongoing skill enhancement and training.

To be successful you must have:

• NZ Trade qualification or equivalent mechanical certification
• Experience with Mitsubishi and EV Vehicles, an advantage
• High standard of mechanic workmanship and attention 
• to detail
• Experience with servicing, routine maintenance, stripping and rebuilding of all mechanical components to a high standard
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Current full driver’s license.
• Be able to work the occasional Saturday, on a rostered basis
