Automotive Vehicle Painter / Detailer - Immediate Start

Allan Kellett are seeking a full-time Automotive Vehicle Painter / Detailer to join their team based in Gisborne. The successful candidate will need to be able to perform and take responsibility for a range of tasks including spray painting, blasting, sanding and masking, maintaining the paint workshop and colour matching. The successful candidate must also be able to fill depressions with plastic filler, and fill, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.  

Skills and experience required:  

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Spray Painter – preferably automotive painting
• Experience with filling and fairing 
• The ability to maintain spray booths, equipment, and robots 
• A can do attitude with a good sense of humour 
• Ability to work unsupervised 
• The ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated an in-depth understanding of health and safety responsibilities to self and others 
• Must be willing to undergo a drug and alcohol test
• Full NZ Drivers Licence 

The Vehicle Painter role is a full-time role requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week with an hourly rate between $27.00 - $35.00 per hour.
