The Opportunity: They are a growing, listed tech vendor seeking a Software Engineer (Backend) to drive the development of innovative serverless API solutions. Leveraging your expertise in NodeJS, TypeScript, and AWS technologies, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to build and enhance information systems. Their initiatives are wide-ranging, including product development, integration, system/platform/network enhancement, and cyber and vendor engagement and control. With revenue quintupled in the last 24 months, their technology is rapidly being adopted throughout Australasia, with global aspirations on the horizon.
The Fit: Mandatory Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with TypeScript and NodeJS
- Proven experience working with AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with both relational and non-relational database systems.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with serverless frameworks other than AWS SAM (e.g., Serverless Framework, Azure Functions).
- Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., PagerDuty) and logging solutions (e.g., Datadog).
- Understanding of DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and automated provisioning.
- Exposure to designing, implementing, and maintaining microservices architectures.
- Awareness of security best practices in software development.
- Experience with strategies for scaling and optimizing databases in cloud environments.
