BAS Manager Accountant role to grow into Partnership

The Partner is great to work for because he is very approachable and he is also very open to suggestions as well as the enormous amount of knowledge that he has. It is a very open door policy, so open that there is no door. The Partners have always tried very hard to work on the culture of the company and make it a fun and enjoyable place to be for example, various games, monthly social club events, eg one Friday went axe throwing, have beer club, frequently some sort of morning tea on, the usual Christmas party, mid-winter function etc.
Importantly, the Partners here are very supportive of good training. They invest in leading edge Advisory software which is great for providing structure and skills to really help solidly in this area to carry out project work easily and successfully.
This BAS Manager role will be responsible for a team (a mix of Intermediates and Seniors). Most of this role will involve reviewing their work, managing their workflow and performing a range of consulting work such as financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, asset protection, amalgamations, debt restructuring, estate planning, IT support, due diligence, business valuations and implementing ownership structures. The remaining part of the role will be preparation of annual financial statements for clients. The clients are a really interesting range of SME's and there are some really large ones in the mix (eg turn over greater than $100M, a couple of IFRS clients).
You will need to have been educated fully in NZ and to have excellent communication skills. You will need to have a minimum of 5 years BAS experience in a reputable NZ CA firm. This role would suit someone from big 4 or a medium sized firm who has strong fundamentals.
