BAS Manager Wellington

Fantastic opportunity to join a leading CA firm in line with their rapid growth in the Wellington region in 2024.

As a senior member of the BAS team, you’ll be working closely alongside the Partners and Directors on a range of clients from different industries. 

• Owning the end-to-end tasks for an established portfolio of clients
• Preparation of financial statements, tax planning & other compliance duties as well reviewing the work of junior staff members
• Manage and monitor the commercial aspects of an engagement to achieve desired levels of quality and profitability, including workflow management, expected utilization and productivity targets
• Managing the relationship and contact with clients
• Looking after VCFO and advisory piece

The ideal candidate

• Experience of 4-6+ years in an established NZ Accounting practice at a supervisory/reviewer level
• Confident and forward-thinking individual
• Solid working experience of Xero packages as well as industry tools
• Strong knowledge of NZ IRD tax requirements
• Strong Stakeholder management and ability to communicate directly with clients
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor, coach and motivate team members.
