Platinum Recruitment are excited to be looking for a Boiler Operator for our FMCG client in Mataura, Southland.
The main crux of this position is to ensure all steam and hot water services for the plant are working to optimum levels.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: - Completing a safety interaction each week
- Supply steam to suit production needs
- Planned maintenance of any ancillary equipment relating to boilers
- Operation of coal and ash handling system
- Chemically dose boilers and record readings according to recommendations
- Monitoring of SCADA in the absence of the Shift Engineer
Qualifications/Training: - NZ ENCHEM Level 3 – desirable but training will be given.
- Strong Mechanical background – NZ Trade Certs or equivalent.
Essential Skills & Experience: - Experience in Boiler Operation is essential.
- Computer & CMMS experience.
- Experience monitoring & fault finding of process control systems.
- Experience in food manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable with shift patterns.
- Reactive/diagnostics engineering skills.
- Proven ability in general engineering & maintenance.
