We are on the lookout for a resourceful Branch Manager to join our all-star team at Cross Country Rentals in Napier Central, Hawkes Bay.

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person to manage our local operation and lead our Hawkes Bay team based in Napier.

Being a market leader in the Vehicle Rental & Transport Industry we are offering this exciting opportunity to someone dynamic, loyal, and well organised.

Cross Country Rentals is so much more than just a rental company having a wide range of vehicles in the fleet and providing specialised transport services. We are a kiwi, family owned and operated company with branches throughout New Zealand.

As the Branch Manager, you will be the face of the business internally and in the community. You will be leading a small team regularly engaging, also building relationships with existing, and new customers.

Cross Country Rentals operate 7 days so some weekend work will be required.

The role:

  • Managing the day-to-day branch operation
  • All aspects of staff management including recruitment and performance
  • Delivering operational excellence to provide exceptional service to our customers
  • Leading a small team to succeed through a positive team culture
  • You'll be a natural in running a successful operation to build strong customer relationships
  • Optimising fleet utilisation and availability
  • Ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and compliant with all safety and regulatory standards
  • You'll thrive in a harmonious and fun working environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading people in a fast-paced environment
  • Business savvy and commercial awareness
  • Professionalism to build long term business relationships
  • Proficient computer skills and a willingness to adapt to new technology
  • A passion for delivering a high level of customer service
  • A pleasant personality and team player
  • Full NZ Driver's License. Class 2 preferred but not essential
  • A sound knowledge of and experience with modern vehicles

You will be provided with a company vehicle, phone, and laptop. We offer great staff discounts for staff rentals and at other industry partner companies. We offer a full onboarding programme to set you for up success followed by ongoing training and development.
