We are searching for a meticulous Business Development Limited - Building/Construction to join our amazing team at Stronghold Scaffolding Limited in Auckland CBD, Auckland.

We are a scaffolding company with 10 years of experience in Auckland and recently opened a branch in Australia. We're looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in Auckland and contribute to our expansion.

In this role, you'll be responsible for generating leads, negotiating contracts, and cultivating strong relationships with our clients. Your deep understanding of the construction industry and market dynamics, coupled with your existing client base and connections with builders and construction companies, will be invaluable assets for this position.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and prospect potential leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals, and convert them into successful contracts.
  • Nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients at all levels of their companies.
  • Attend meetings and site visits to understand their needs and requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Present and demonstrate our services to prospective customers, highlighting our scaffolding solutions and services.
  • Respond to tenders and RFPs and submit bids to clients within specified deadlines.
  • Review project specifications and drawings to understand the scope of work.
  • Prepare, send out, and follow up on quotations, delivering compelling proposals tailored to each client's requirements.
  • Negotiate and finalise contracts of projects, and close deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are executed smoothly, closely monitoring progress and maintaining effective communication with relevant parties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales transactions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations and best practices, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.

Successful candidates will need to have the following skills and attributes:

  • Having an existing client base and established relationships with clients in the building industry that can bring onboard with you.
  • A track record of high achievement in sales within the building industry.
  • Extensive experience, construction industry knowledge, and a solid understanding of trades in construction. Knowledge of scaffolding is a plus!
  • Resilience, energy, and self-motivation with a drive to achieve sales targets.
  • Proven ability to work independently while maintaining high productivity.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
