We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our well-established wholesale business at Wiri.

This role will suit a high-energy, keen and responsible individual who excels at dealing with the challenges of account management plus new business sales and development.  

About THE ROLE

You will be responsible for continued sales growth whilst maintaining and strengthening existing customer relationships. A true hybrid role with an estimated 60% focus on new business development and 40% on established accounts. 

You will be based at our Wiri branch but will be required to travel to service your territory.

Overnight stays and some travelling will be required (approximately 2 nights per fortnight).

The main duties of this role include:

  • Servicing and retention of a large wholesale/trade customer base
  • Growth of responsible geographic territory
  • Seek out key contacts by cold calling and prospecting.
  • Follow through to ensure the customer experience is positive, leading to new opportunities and repeat business.
  • Working in tandem with our Branch Managers and collaboration with key staff members to ensure cross pollination of opportunities and capitalising on synergies. 
  • Live our values to promote a positive culture and engaged workforce in a safe environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following: 

  • Automotive Market experience would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Valid car licence as you will be provided with a fully maintained vehicle
  • A strong passion for selling and the desire to achieve and succeed
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with challenging customers and maintaining a trusting relationship
  • Proven ability to deliver results against budget with excellent time management skills
  • The ability to work as an engaging team member and to also work autonomously
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Most importantly, you take a genuine interest in your Customers and take pride in providing a high level of service.

Shortlisted candidates will need to undergo a medical and provide a police check and driver's licence report.
