The JB Hi-Fi New Zealand business comprises 17 stores and a growing online and commercial business. The Role

Reporting to the GM of Business Services, the Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and driving new business opportunities, building long-term partnerships, and providing clients with innovative solutions that are tailored specifically to their business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients to determine their existing and future business needs
  • Understand the client’s objectives, buying criteria and decision-making process and form long-term business partnerships
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process from start to finish including managing and maintaining your sales pipeline, ensuring all sales enquiries are followed through
  • Identify and grow opportunities and collaborate with wider sales team to ensure maximum growth
  • Present innovative business solutions to potential clients through direct communication i.e. face to face meetings, telephone calls and/or via email
  • Ensure reporting is up to date and accurate (meetings, calls, opportunities etc)
  • Attending industry events; tradeshows and networking nights to aid in the development of new business revenue
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives to drive sales
  • Accuracy of reporting and forecasting

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Experience selling I.T and appliances
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (highly beneficial)
