Business Development Manager - AKL or CHC

The Role

Full-Time, Fixed Term (9 months)

We’re looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing team at NZCR. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind building strong partnerships with global pharmaceutical and biotech companies, securing new opportunities, and helping advance world-class clinical research in New Zealand.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic/vocational qualification.


• At least 2 years’ experience in a relevant role (pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical research, or similar industry preferred).


• Scientific, sales, or marketing background with concentration in pharmaceutical/biotech.


• Strong track record in identifying and developing sales leads, managing the sales process, and negotiating contracts.


• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across business development, finance, marketing, and operations.


• Proven ability to develop mid- to senior-level business contacts (desirable).


• Proficiency with sales automation systems, Microsoft Office, and related digital tools.
