THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLEAs their business development manager, your primary responsibility will be to grow the business in the Auckland area through strong lead generation, business development and strategically identifying growth opportunities within the region.
Further responsibilities will include:
- Cold calling and lead generation
- Business Development within your sector utilising sales strategies to grow existing business and develop new markets
- Growing your portfolio and gaining new business
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly self-motivated and driven individual, love being client facing and enjoy speaking with all walks of life, and thrives in a largely autonomous, flexible environment. We're after someone who has an excellent understanding of selling and has a history of selling services in the domestic transport and/or logistics industry. You will also have:
- You will need to have a proven and successful track record in a medium-large business preferably with knowledge of the NZ freight industry.
- You will need to be outgoing, organised and well presented for this position
- Strong commercial awareness is important and you will need to have exceptional communication and relationship building skills
- Excellent oral and written communication, strong numeracy skills and computer literacy in MS Word and Excel are essential as well as having the ability to learn new systems.
