Job Description - Business Development Manager - National

About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development professional to lead our sales and business expansion efforts across New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have proven track record in business development, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to identify and capatialise on new business opportunities. In addition, you will be:

  • Generating new business through analysis of assigned territory to identify new customers and markets; 
  • Growing existing accounts through execution of a proactive sales plan with initiatives to include focus on lost & declining business in existing customer base; 
  • Delivering superior service through consultative sales, preparing quality presentation materials, conducting demonstrations, detailing products and cost savings, determining customer needs and requirements, and offering solutions; 
  • Developing knowledge of customer accounts within assigned territory, to include technical requirements, production volume and schedules, targeted pricing, applicable contract requirements, and competitive analysis; 
  • Working with Regional management to develop strategic territory business plans, assist with proposals, contract research and negotiation, and implementation of sales strategies to achieve sales growth

Do you have the following skills and qualifications?

  • Any combination of 3 or more years in customer service, inside sales and/or warehouse services in a position with increasing responsibility, to include demonstrated sales negotiation experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PVF materials and ability to understand scope of services to include pricing, supply, and contract terms;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hold a valid driver’s license
