Enable New Zealand is a Crown-owned entity on a mission; to support disabled people and their whānau to live everyday lives in their communities. We do this by effectively managing access to equipment, modifications and information services for disabled people and their whānau on behalf of Disability Support Services (DSS) – Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).
With our head office centrally located in Palmerston North, we deliver services to thousands of New Zealanders each year as Aotearoa's largest disability equipment provider.
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and experienced people and capability specialist to join the Enable New Zealand Limited People and Capability team for a fixed-term period.
Operating as a business partner, this role will provide opportunities to work across all HR disciplines. Leading, coaching, advising and supporting leaders and employees to ensure the achievement of Enable New Zealand Strategic and Annual Plans, you will be an integral part of the People and Capability team, and the business units you support.
You will develop and implement People and Capability initiatives, participate in the people strategy development, and assist in project delivery and implementation. A key part of this role will also include the review and development of HR policies, processes and management tools.
Ngā mahi haepapa | Role responsibilities
Along with your extensive experience across a large range of human resource functions, you will be comfortable with taking a Business Partnering approach to People and Capability. You will be a strong communicator and be familiar with reporting and presenting to an Executive level. With your in-depth understanding of relevant legislation and best practice, you will have a proven ability to effective coach employees and leaders to build their capability.
This is a full-time, fixed term position for a 7-month period, from July 2025 (or earlier if available) to the end of January 2026.
