Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

This is an exciting new role, where you’ll be responsible for end-to-end business testing and assurance across an ongoing large SaaS solution deployment. This requires testing to be complete, contextualised, traceable, and validated through structured positive and negative scenarios. The role provides independent business assurance to ensure solutions meet regulatory, operational, risk, and customer obligations. 

What are some of the key responsibilities the candidate will own?

• Own the business testing framework across SaaS delivery lifecycle, from design to production validation.

• Ensure testing demonstrates compliance with internal risk frameworks, control obligations and customer success outcomes.

• Identify missing edge cases, operational exceptions, and customer impact scenarios.

• Challenge test coverage where gaps are identified.

• Confirm requirements are complete, testable, and aligned to business intent.

• Lead business UAT and operational readiness validation.

• Ensure production verification and hypercare validation activities are executed.

• Collaborate and own the forward-facing business test strategy.

We’re looking for someone that is passionate, programmatic and goal orientated. You’ll be working alongside a high-performance team focused on delivering great customer and colleague outcomes. The key skills and experience we are looking for are:

• Strong understanding of banking operations and regulatory expectations.

• Risk and control mindset with ability to challenge vendors and delivery teams.

• Strong requirements traceability and coverage governance capability.

• Experience overseeing configuration-based solutions (not just custom build).

• Confident stakeholder management skills. You can operate effectively at senior leadership level to influence successful outcomes but also challenge approaches and outcomes where necessary.

• You’ll demonstrate the ability to make clear, evidence-based decisions.

This is newly created role and therefore the successful applicant will have an opportunity to shape and form the role. This is a business-led governance role, not a technical test execution role – You’ll make a real impact through your direction, providing insights and a unique perspective on the outlook, as well as guiding and assisting the team and stakeholders navigate through any complexities.
