About us


Comcare is an established Mental Health and Housing provider assisting people with mental health or addiction issues to live well in the community. We provide a rich and diverse range of Mental Health Support Services, Housing and Housing Support Services.



We’re looking for a Business Support Front of House Administrator who enjoys working at the front of a busy organisation while also building their skills across a wide range of admin functions — including designing and creating internal communications.



About this role 


This is more than a reception role. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys people-facing work and creative admin tasks and wants to build a career in business support.


 


You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and visitors while also providing general administrative support across the organisation. You’ll gain exposure to all areas of administration, service support, and organisational processes and play a key role in how we communicate internally.



What you’ll be doing



  • Welcoming and assisting clients, whānau, and visitors

  • Managing reception, calls, and enquiries

  • Supporting general administration across teams

  • Coordinating meetings, logistics, and events

  • Preparing documents, reports, and maintaining records

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, vehicles, and procurement admin processes

  • Designing simple communications such as newsletters, posters, and internal updates

  • Maintaining website content and formatting materials



About you


To be successful in this role, you will have:



  • Experience in administration or customer service

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment

  • A friendly, calm, and professional approach

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and systems



Bonus if you have:



  • Experience creating content using tools like Canva or Illustrator

  • An eye for layout, formatting, and presentation

  • Interest in building a career in administration or business support

Experience in the mental health and disability sector would be an advantage.



Applicants holds a current full, clean driver’s license. 



You will have a cultural awareness, knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
