Business System Analyst

As a Business System Analyst within our Consumer Operations team, you'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing the platforms that underpin our business, helping drive the digitisation and transformation initiatives shaping the future of insurance.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly visible team that works across the business to improve system performance, user experience and operational efficiency. You'll partner with brokers, advisers, internal stakeholders and technology teams to solve problems, support change initiatives and help deliver better outcomes for our customers and partners. 

What you'll be doing

As a Business System Analyst, you'll support the ongoing success of our business platforms while contributing to major transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll:

• Provide first-line support for business platform queries and issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Investigate system issues, coordinate testing activities and work alongside technology teams to identify root causes and solutions.
• Manage user access and onboarding for brokers, advisers and internal stakeholders.
• Support system deployments, user acceptance testing and business readiness activities.
• Build strong relationships with brokers, advisers and internal teams, acting as a trusted point of contact for system support and guidance.
• Deliver training and onboarding support to help users get the most from our platforms.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve system functionality, processes and user experiences.
• Contribute to the ongoing digitisation and transformation of Suncorp New Zealand's Consumer business. 

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong relationship-building skills with a genuine interest in systems, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience within insurance, financial services or a customer-focused corporate environment.
• Knowledge of insurance products, systems and terminology, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across a wide range of audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience investigating issues, supporting system testing or working with business platforms.
• The ability to balance technical conversations with a customer-focused approach.
• A proactive mindset and a passion for improving processes and user experiences.
