We’re searching for a commercially astute Buyer with a keen eye for style and a passion for creating ranges that inspire.

Job Description

As a Buyer within our Head-to-Toe/Apparel division, you will play a key role in shaping our offer balancing creativity with sound commercial judgement to deliver ranges and great fashion that resonate with our Kiwi customers. You’ll own your categories and the end-to-end buying process, curating trend-led, customer-focused assortments that reflect emerging trends and  drive strong in-store and online results.

Key responsibilities:

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with wider Merchandise, Planning, and Marketing teams to ensure ranges are executed seamlessly across channels.

Qualifications

You’re passionate about your trade, customer driven focus in your thinking and have an innate curiosity for ‘how we can do better’ to provide the best products for our customers and commercially viable results for the business.

What we’re looking for?

  • Proven buying experience: Previous experience in a (retail) buying role within apparel or a complementary retail category. Direct sourcing/private label experience essential!
  • Commercial Mindset: Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to balance creativity with business priorities.
  • Confident Negotiator: Skilled at negotiating with suppliers to deliver value and quality for both the customer and the business.
  • Highly Collaborative: Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence and work effectively across teams and functions.
  • Proactive & Decisive: Comfortable and confident working at pace and taking ownership to deliver tangible results.

Additional Information

Come work with us as we look to build exceptional retail brands that customers love and our teams take pride in!

You’ll be joining a dynamic and energised environment within a business that’s passionate about its people while working alongside a team that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

We offer a range of benefits that work for you and your career which include:

  • Team member discounts across our brands
  • Paid birthday day off for permanent team members
