An opportunity has arisen for an energetic and friendly person to join our team at Summerset at Pohutukawa Place, to assist with the day-to-day operation of our on-site café. We value your customer service ethic as much as the technical skills you bring to the team - our culture is what sets us apart! Our Café Assistant is in many ways the face of our business, we are looking for someone who thrives working with people and enjoys going the extra mile for their customers. 

This is a casual contract position on a as and when required basis, however we are requiring someone who can cover shifts throughout the day on week days.

The role will see you greeting customers, processing orders, making delicious coffee and serving cabinet food for residents and visitors. You must have prior experience as a barista for this position as you will be working sole charge in the cafe.

You will be an energetic and friendly person with a positive can-do attitude and good communication skills. We value your customer service ethic as much as the technical skills you bring to the team - our culture is what sets us apart! To be successful you will bring:

• Top class customer service to ensure a great café experience to our residents and their guests
• The ability to provide high quality and timely support for the Chef
• Prior experience with making great coffee, food preparation and presentation is preferable
• The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
