What This Role Is About


 



    As a key member of the City Mission Thrive's Cafe and Catering, the Cafe and Catering Assistant/Barista will make a vital contribution to the Mission, to our clients and to our community. 


     


    The key focus of the role is to support the daily operations of the café and catering services by preparing food and beverages, serving customers, and ensuring timely delivery of orders. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the café and during deliveries.


     


    This is a permanent position, 30 hours per week.   Monday – Friday, 8.30am-3.00pm


     


    About You - What You Bring


     


    We are seeking someone with the following skills and experience:




    • A minimum of 2 years Barista experience

    • A current and Valid Full New Zealand Driver's Licence



    • Great communication and people skills

    • Ability to manage time well, stay calm under pressure, and make good decisions

    • Commitment to respectful, inclusive, and ethical practice

    • Customer service or hospitality experience (desirable)
