Café chef superstar

Welcome to Bay Catering, where creativity and community collide. Located within the Tauranga area. Our goal is to open a cafe that feels like a natural part of the community—a warm and inviting spot where people can come together to enjoy great, locally sourced food in a laid-back atmosphere. Whether it’s a local resident grabbing their morning coffee, a nearby business owner picking up a tasty breakfast, or a family spending the weekend exploring, we’ll have something for everyone.

Bay Catering is opening a new café and we are looking for a kitchen superstar with café experience. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help bring the cafe vision to life.

This role is responsible for overseeing all operations of the café kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective food production and service in alignment with Bay Venues Ltd's standards

About you:

• National Certificate – Level 4, Hospitality/Cookery OR at least 3 years in a similar role with some baking experience


• Can operate a food service at a high pace with high quality standards.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure


• Exhibits high levels of professionalism and lives Bay Venues values


• Demonstrates strong initiative and sound judgment, with the ability to think strategically and work independently


• Customer focused


• Proven communication skills 


• Strong attention to detail
