About us

Maraenui Golf Club is one of Hawke’s Bay’s finest Golf Courses set in lovely tree lined surrounds just off Marine Parade in Napier. With cafe and bar facilities also available, our teams work together to deliver a consistently high golfing and hospitality experience for our members and visitors.

Qualifications & experience

• Experienced Cafe Manager with Health & Safety and Food Safety knowledge.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the cafe.
• Plan cafe menu and prepare food and drinks based on daily requirements.
• Help hire and onboard new cafe staff.
• Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed.
• Be polite/friendly to all customers and provide a quick, accurate, efficient and friendly service, which provides an environment for our members and visitors to enjoy.
• Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared and served to a consistently high standard.
• Assist in the keeping of accurate daily records of prepared food, wastage, daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks, and food and refrigeration temperatures.
• Actively contribute to health, safety and wellbeing through working safely, taking responsibility for keeping self and colleagues free from harm, reporting all incidents and hazards promptly and knowing what to do in the event of an emergency.
• Ensure the entire café environment is clean, pleasant and welcoming for all of our Clubhouse visitors.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, members and suppliers to create an exceptional experience for our members and visitors.
