Café Supervisor New Café Opening

Bay Venues …. Haven’t heard of us? Not to worry; I bet you have heard of some of the venues we own or operate – the iconic Mount Hot Pools, Baywave, or Mercury Baypark to name a few. As the kaitiaki of 24 facilities in Tauranga Moana, we proudly offer a range of activities and experiences intended to put a smile on the dial of our community.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to help lead the day‑to‑day operations of our brand-new café. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new and help shape the customer experience from the ground up.

What you’ll be doing:

• Overseeing the daily running of the café


• Supervising and supporting front‑of‑house staff


• Managing rosters and ensuring adequate staffing levels


• Handling ordering and stock control


• Maintaining exceptional customer service and café standards


• Working weekend and evening shifts as required


• Supporting onboarding and training of new team members

What we’re looking for:

• Previous hospitality or supervisory experience


• Strong leadership and communication skills


• Great organisation and problem‑solving abilities


• Someone reliable, positive, and hands‑on


• A Duty Manager Certificate is an advantage, but not essential - we’re happy to support the right person through training
