About the Role

This role is currently a 6 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of going permanent - however if you are unable to commit to a 6 month contract and want to go directly to perm, we will want to hear from you.

This role would be working as the sole Calibrator for the South Island, and as part of a team of 8 Nation Wide. You would be responsible for the end-to-end process of equipment maintenance calibration and communicating with the customer. This is a role you can really take ownership of.

Daily you can expect to:

• Monitor Stock and place orders.
• Consult with customers regarding the repair if their tools.
• Diagnose, service and repair equipment.
• Keep the workshop clean and tidy.
• Logging and recording of all jobs and repairs.
• Keeping track of scheduled calibration requirements from clients.

There is some required travel in this role around the South Island of New Zealand. You will also be traveling around to client sites in Christhcurch to do onsite repairs and maintenance.

About you

We are looking for someone who is mechanically minded, who will be able to pick up technical aspect of the role and take it in their stride. We are looking for someone who is a whiz at fault finding and is not afraid to pick up the phone and call a customer.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Trade qualification in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related trade.
• Good attitude and values teamwork.
