Marinoto Rest Home was established by the Inglewood community in the early 1970's to provide care for our elders.  With generous support from our community we continue to upgrade our facility and equipment to enable us to provide a high standard of care and add to the services we can offer.  A hospital wing was added in 2019 giving us a total of 31 beds, most of which are dual use and 3 have ceiling hoists.

 

The Care Home Manager oversees a team of clinical, kitchen and  housekeeping staff, and ensures maximum resident occupancy, consistently drives quality improvement, and is a role model for the Group's Culture of Care.

  • To provide effective leadership and management to the business, working collaboratively with residents, families, and staff to ensure quality support and care services are available to all residents.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Marinoto facility.  This includes ensuring the highest standard of care is provided to service users, operating within regulations, maintaining effective policies and procedures, overall staff supervision and maintaining relationships with authorities and visitors to Marinoto.   
  • The delivery of high-quality care and support services within the operating budget restraints.
  • Ensuring the services provided to residents are consistent with obligations under legislation and the terms of specific contracts held e.g. Aged Related Residential Agreement. 
  • Assumes the responsibilities of the Privacy Officer for Marinoto, including leading and educating the staff about their responsibilities in this regard.
  • Provides timely reports to Inglewood Welfare Society Inc.
  •    Actively participates in quality improvement activities of the group . 
  • Responsible for Human Resource management and employment relations.
  • Provide an oversight to all resident clinic records to ensure they meet organisational and legislative requirements.
  • Ensures maximum resident occupancy
  • Works closely with the on-site Clinical Leader to help ensure safe, efficient and effective nursing practice through the day-to-day support and direction of staff members, liaison with and attending to the concerns of family members, and the performance of admin duties Maintains a high standard of housekeeping services
  • Has thorough knowledge of and implements all administrative procedures
  • Be responsible for notifications to appropriate authorities, 
    Ensures adequate staff coverage of the facility and implements a relevant continuing education program for all staff
  • As delegated Quality Manager - updates, establishes and implements the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Promotes a safe environment for clients, visitors and staff
  • Attends inspections from relevant Health and Safety Authorities and effectively implements required changes
