Te kaupapa o te tūranga - The purpose of the role. 

We're seeking a vigilant and proactive casual Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Monitor security cameras 
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor 
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.  

Please note this is a casual position to work on an as needed basis - there are no set hours.

He kōrero mōu ake - About you

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Ideally, you will have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods.

Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial. 

Please note this is a casual position with no set weekly hours. It is also spread across shifts which are across 7 days of the week through the year and operating hours between 8am and 8pm daily (seasonal variations exist which lengthen or shorten this).  Our preference is for applicants to be available across as many days of the week as possible and be fully flexible in terms of start/stop times.
