Did you know that almost half of us in Aotearoa New Zealand will experience mental distress or illness in our lifetime?
As a Mental Health First Aid Tutor, you will have the opportunity to empower adults by teaching them valuable mental health and well-being skills that can improve their lives and the lives of others. You will deliver our Mental Health First Aid courses within workplaces, to our key corporate customers, and to the general public.
Hours
To complete your specialist training and receive certification to teach independently, you'll need to be able to commit to roughly eight full days within the first two months. The exact time frame to be signed off will vary based on your facilitation skills and grasp of the course material.
After that, the flexibility of a casual role means it can work around your schedule. Availability for early starts between 7.30 and 8am (not including travel) is necessary, along with a willingness to work the occasional weekend.)

With a passion for mental health and wellbeing, you'll have a powerful desire to create positive and transformative learning opportunities to enhance the lives of individuals, whānau, organisations and communities. Our Tutors have a passion for the delivery of high-quality training, in a way that engages attendees and produces excellent outcomes for our customers.
You will preferably have a background in, and ideally hold, or be working towards a qualification in the mental health and wellbeing.
