FTE: On an "as and when required" basis to support the Invercargill Afterhours Service

At Te Hau o Te Ora, we are dedicated to promoting health equity, ensuring everyone has access to the highest quality of care and enabling better health outcomes for people in the Southern region.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner(s) for our Invercargill site to assist with our evening and weekend afterhours service.

No requirement to commit to regular shifts, roster is worked on your availability.

Hours are:

Monday to Friday - 6pm - 9pm

Weekends and public holidays - 12pm - 4pm

Please note:

To qualify for this role, you must also:

• Be legally able to work in New Zealand,


• Hold a full New Zealand drivers’ licence,
  


• Be required to undergo pre-employment screening,


• Complete a satisfactory worker safety check, including police vetting. 
  

About the role

We are seeking applications from experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our clinical team based in Invercargill

This role enables the smooth operation of the service by completing a brief history, identifying the presenting issue and completed obs with the patient before seeing the NP or GP.

An excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner who is community minded and has an interest in providing care to a wide range of patients with complex primary care needs.  

About You

You will be a great communicator and enjoy working as part of a committed health care team.

To be considered for this position it is essential that you are a registered Nurse Practitioner with prescribing rights in a relevant area of practice and hold a current NZ annual practicing certificate.
