About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Category/Sales Analyst capable of leveraging their experience across a broad-based role in the grocery landscape. 

As a Category/Sales Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing market data, trends, consumer behavior, and sales performance to provide actionable insights to our sales and marketing team.  

Key measures and attributes

• Develop and maintain sales reports, dashboards, and KPIs to track performance against targets to drive strategic decision-making.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data, market trends, and competitor performance to identify growth opportunities and market insights.
• Manage data including promotional loading, price changes, product launches, customer code lists, and forecasts based on promotional plan.
• Provide data snapshots for internal meetings, presentations & budget preparation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop and execute category strategies and promotional plans.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives through post-promotion analysis and ROI assessments.
• Assist with rebates and forecasts in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and participate in trade shows and store relays if required.
• Assist Key Account Manager with distribution drives and field reporting.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field is desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in an FMCG environment at a category capacity.
• Microsoft Office skilled, specifically Excell regarding formulas and modelling.
• Experience in IRI/Nielsen is essential.
• Purveyance skills desirable (CRM automation software) but not essential.
