Company and role:
My client, a government department based in Wellington, is seeking a change manager to join their team on a fixed-term contract until December 2024. This is focused heavily on the agency's business-led organisational change, with a small tech component.
Duties for the role include, but are not limited to:
- Establishing risk areas and prioritising what change projects to focus on.
- Identifying change requirements.
- Stakeholder management/engagement across the organisation (up to ELT level) and other organisation across the public sector.
- Development of change processes.
- Respect/appreciation for Te ao Māori.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the following:
- Must have been through large organisational transformations before.
- Experience in both the public and private sector preferred - understanding of working in Government required.
- Demonstrable experience as a change manager in complex programmes.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid structure.
- Candidate must be based in Wellington, with the legal right to work in New Zealand.
