Charge Nurse Manager - Pre-Operative Services

We are seeking an experienced clinical leader to lead our Pre-Operative Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident clinical leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and supporting a high-performing pre-operative service.

As the Charge Nurse Manager – Pre-Operative Services, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the pre-operative nursing team, ensuring patients are safely and efficiently prepared for surgery. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the pre-operative area, coordinate patient flow, support staff development, and ensure compliance with clinical standards, policies, and best practice.

Working closely with the theatre leadership team and wider clinical services, you will play an important role in ensuring smooth pre-operative processes, enhancing the patient experience, and contributing to ongoing service improvement.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven leadership experience in a surgical or pre-operative environment

• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse APC

• PDRP Level 4 (Expert), or working towards this level

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
