We're on the lookout for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Novotel Wellington.

In this role, you’ll bring your creativity and skills to the pass each day – from prepping fresh ingredients to plating dishes our guests will rave about. Whether it’s a hearty breakfast, a quick lunch, or a dinner to remember, you'll be a key part of making every meal a great experience.

The responsibilities of the Chef De Partie include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare and present both a la carte and casual 'all day' dining menu items.
• Use your creativity and novelty to bring innovation to our team.
• Assist the Sous and Executive Chefs in menu creation and execution.
• Supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef by appropriate delegation of tasks to ensure a smooth service.
• Assist with the ordering and rotation of stock and liaising with front line team members regarding menu changes.
• Being an illustrious and respected leader to the kitchen team.
• Understand and follow food safety procedures.

This is a full-time role, working on a rotating roster, paying a competitive hourly rate of $31.50. • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, ideally within a fast-paced, high-volume hotel kitchen
• Team Leader or Supervisory experience highly regarded.
• Passion for food and local ingredients.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• A friendly and proactive approach in resolving issues.
• Available 7 days a week on a rotating roster
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
