With responsibility for delivering a complex range of transport solutions, our client manages a diverse range of transport assets. They bring an exceptional focus on customer experience, listening and responding to the needs of their customers and communities,

Due to an internal promotion, they are seeking a senior and experienced Chartered Engineer to lead their design and engineering team and take responsibility for the infrastructure design and asset management of this significant, multibillion dollar asset portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include management of the engineering and design team, leadership of capital projects to include investigation and design phases, management of asset vesting and acceptance of new assets and associated asset management planning and budgeting activities. 

We are looking for an exceptional leader.  Someone who will bring the relevant technical knowledge and experience leading a large and diverse team.  This will be about the human factor, you will need to have a curiosity about what makes people tick to ensure that you can provide leadership to the team internally and to the sector externally, and be able to understand the nuances of the political environment this organisation operates in.

Your experience will need to include 15 plus years in civil engineering across large scale projects working with complex stakeholder groups. Ideally you will have experience in transportation, but this is not essential.  A tertiary qualification in engineering is essential, and a CPEng will be highly regarded.
