Job Description

We’re looking for an Intermediate Civil Engineer – Water to join our Wellington team.

This role is ideal for an engineer with 4+ years’ experience who is passionate about water infrastructure and is working towards Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status. You’ll work on projects across hydraulics, pumping stations, stormwater runoff, and water management, while building your expertise alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Your day-to-day will see you:

  • Design of 3-water infrastructure projects with a focus on either “pipes and pumps.” or Stormwater networks

  • Delivery and Construction Monitoring of 3-water infrastructure projects

  • Applying your technical skills in hydraulics, stormwater runoff and pump station design.

  • Using software such as Civil 3D, 12D, InfoWorks and HEC-HMS modelling to deliver practical, high-quality outcomes.

  • Collaborating across disciplines to provide integrated solutions for clients.

  • Growing your technical expertise while progressing towards CPEng accreditation.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally within water infrastructure.

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).

  • Working towards Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation.

  • Skills in hydraulics, stormwater runoff, and pump station design.

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, 12D, InfoWorks and HEC-HMS (advantage).

  • A collaborative, hands-on approach with strong communication skills.
