We are you looking for a customer-focused claims professional who enjoys problem-solving and supporting people through challenging situations? If you have a flair for customer service and enjoy being part of a busy team, this could be the role for you.

We’re seeking a Claims Technician to join our Napier branch on a six-month contract. In this role, you will support customers who have experienced loss or damage to their motor vehicle, home, or property.

The position involves managing insurance claims, assisting loss adjusters, and providing administrative support within the branch. It is a varied and engaging role, offering on-the-job training and a strong opportunity to utilise existing skills while developing an understanding of the insurance industry.

Desired skills and qualities for this role include:

• Insurance and/or construction or motor vehicle industry experience

• Customer service experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills

• Problem-solving skills

• IT competency

• A willingness to be flexible for the business

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Liaising with customers who have suffered a loss and need support through the process.

• Facilitating and assisting with the settlement of insurance claims

• Organising reinstatement of damaged items

• Reviewing claim documentation

• Delivering settlement outcomes

• Communicating with client insurers and brokers
