Class 2 Driver - Rewarding Work

The Tile Depot is a family owned and operated business with 12 stores across the upper North Island. We pride ourselves on being a leader within the flooring industry through selling quality product and providing a high level of service.

An opportunity now exists to join the Tile Depot family, with a full time class 2 driver role available at our East Tamaki distribution centre.

We operate several class 2 trucks from our East Tamaki warehouse, undertaking deliveries to both retail customers and housing companies (new builds) Auckland wide.

Our product isn't light, with each box of tiles weighing approximately 25kg, and most deliveries requiring a hand unload.  If you're wanting a daily work out and looking to stay in shape, this is the job for you. 

You must have as a requirement the following attributes:

• a clean NZ Class 2 drivers licence;
• be physically fit and comfortably lifting large volumes of tiles per day;
• reliable team player with a good flexible attitude;
• take pride in the service you provide your customers;
• have an excellent manner with clients at all levels;
• be presentable in appearance and have good communication skills;
• be self-motivated and committed and prepared to go the extra mile;

One of our trucks has a hiab crane, so previous experience would be an advantage, as would a forklift licence (or previous experience). 

When things are quiet on the delivery front, you will assist within our busy distribution centre.  There's always plenty of orders to pack or cleaning to be done within the warehouse. 

The warehouse operates Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm.
