About the role:

Are you a night owl with an eye for detail? Are you passionate about maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Southern Fresh is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our newly created internal cleaning team working 9pm-4am Monday-Friday working between our two sites. As a Cleaner, you will be a team of two playing a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This role also has a few odd jobs during the winter months including ensuring our boilers are operating throughout the night.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting designated areas
• Cleaning and sanitising restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
• Empty trash bins
• Restock supplies, such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
• Deep cleaning food processing and packaging machinery in the factory
• Following cleaning schedules and checklists
• Checking and ensuring doors and site entry points are secure
• Raking coal out of boilers to ensure boilers run throughout the night to keep our flowers at our flower nursery growing (winter months only)

About you:

• NZ full drivers licence
• Previous cleaning experience advantageous
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
