Teacher – Clevedon Kindergarten, Clevedon

Qualified Teacher Position – 40 hours per week – 8.00am – 5.00pm each day

This is a full-time 40 hour per week position in an established and well-resourced kindergarten operating 6 hour and full day sessions with a roll of 30 children and a 1:10 teacher to child ratio.  The Kindergarten is open in the term breaks.

We are seeking a qualified teacher who is an enthusiastic, collaborative, self-motivated team player, great communicator, and passionate about teaching tamariki between the ages of two and six in a mixed age setting.

As a valued team member, you will be welcomed into a team who are passionate about learning and teaching through play in a safe and stimulating environment which fosters communication and socialisation skills, creative thinking and problem-solving. Building meaningful relationships with tamariki and whānau is a priority.

The successful applicant must have sound knowledge of current approaches to teaching and learning, including internal evaluation; be committed to on-going professional development; and have a passion for supporting, enriching and documenting children’s learning progress.  As the kindergarten is an Enviroschool centre, an interest in environmental sustainability would be an advantage.

Applicants require a minimum Level 7 Diploma or Bachelor of Teaching ECE, current first aid certificate and current teacher practicing certificate.
