Clinical Nurse Manager

Victoria Clinic- General Practice and Urgent Care Clinic is looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager to join our innovative and supportive team.

We operate our Urgent Care service seven days a week from 8am – 8pm and our General Practice weekdays from 8:30am-4:30pm. 

We offer a wide range of medical services including specialty services such as Allergy Clinic, Immigration, Pre-employment medical and Fracture Clinics.

Qualifications & experience

• Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate
• Demonstrated strong Leadership mentoring and management skills
• Highly developed communication/interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organisational skills and can effectively manage multiple and at times competing priorities
• Proficient general IT and report writing skills.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Coordinating the day-to-day provision of the nursing services including roster management
• Work collaboratively with doctors and team members to provide efficient, effective, professional nursing services, including triage, assessment, treatment, referral, follow-up and evaluation.
• Manage the process for controlled drugs, including the controlled drug register, to ensure compliance; undertake audits and provide training as required.
• Effectively manage the monthly nursing staff roster, including students, to ensure the provision of adequate cover.
• Co-ordinate time sheets for payroll
• Conduct effective annual performance appraisals and regular one to ones.
• Prepare reports and attend GP, director and other meetings as required.
• Oversee the monitoring of supplies and consumables, and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained and expired stock is managed appropriately.
• Auditing for Foundation and Urgent Care Accreditation
