Southland Hospital
Salary band - $116,000 - $127,000 p.a. pro-rata plus Kiwisaver and car park.
Our Critical Care Unit at Southland Hospital is an open unit secondary Critical Care Unit and it is on an exciting journey of growth and development. Through the provision of new Critical Care funding from the Ministry of Health, we are in the process of aligning our secondary level unit with the College of Intensive Care Medicine, Medical and Nursing staffing standards. Our primary goal is to rapidly increase our capacity and capability, moving from our current ICU level bed and five HDU/Coronary Care beds to three ICU and three HDU/Coronary level beds to better meet the secondary Critical Care needs for Southland patients.
It is an exciting time to be part of Critical Care in Te Waipounamu (the South Island) as the regional clinical network is forming. We are seeking experienced Senior Critical Care Nurses with recent contemporary Critical Care experience to join us through this period of intense change. We have various FTE opportunities available from 0.5 - 1.0 FTE. Please indicate your preference in your cover letter.

Utu whānui - Salary range
This role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Grade 2 Step 1 ($112,660 p.a. pro-rata) and Grade 2 Step 3 ($123,955 p.a. pro-rata of the Senior Nurse Salary Scale.
