Clinical Nurse Specialist – Vascular Access

Employment Type: Fixed Term – 1.0 FTE

He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Vascular Access. This is a 12 month – fixed term, 1.0FTE position commencing in September 2023.

You will need strong skills and experience in vascular access, sound clinical assessment skills and nursing knowledge and be able to communicate with a vast number of health professionals as well as provide support to patients and their families. As there will be times you will be working autonomously, confidence in your assessments and recommendations to hospital doctors, nurses and other members of the MDT is expected while developing good ongoing relationships.

This role will work with people to assist them in making informed choices around care, provide clinical teams with advice and guidance on treatment of symptoms and management of care.

If you are a senior nurse with significant experience in vascular access, are accredited in PICC and midline access, have a passion for teaching and supporting peers, have a post graduate education and a service improvement skill base – and you have energy and drive to contribute to building services in response to demand, we would love to hear from you!
