Job Description - Clinical Pharmacist

Te whiwhinga mahi: The opportunity 


We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist (0.75 FTE) to join the team at Central Medical Centre/MOA Medical Centre.



Utilise your pharmacotherapy skills and work in a supportive and collaborative environment, working to eliminate inequities and achieving best possible health-related outcomes. You will assist patients in optimising medication use, reducing/preventing medication-related problems, and improving health outcomes by providing medication therapy management and other pharmaceutical care services. You will also promote health and wellness education, and disease prevention services.



He kōrero mōu: About you 


Ideally you will:



  • Hold a current annual practising certificate (APC).

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a clinical environment, and 5 years post-graduate experience.

  • Hold a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.

  • Qualified in the pharmacist prescriber scope of practice or wishing to work towards this would be advantageous.

  • Hold a valid full NZ drivers license.

  • Knowledge of NZ Primary Health Care Services and Systems.

  • Experience mentoring/coaching colleagues in a working environment and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience building trusting relationships, communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, managing a busy workload and working to deadlines.

  • Committed to continuing professional and personal development.
