Clinical Team Lead - First Episode Psychosis Early Intervention (Hauora Waikato)

Hauora Waikato Maaori Mental Health Service is seeking the next great innovative Clinical Team Lead - Te Aka Toro, First Episode Psychosis Early Intervention team. Primarily, this role provides practical mental health recovery support while leading and inspiring a passionate team to ensure whanau (service users) needs are met. This role requires outstanding communication skills, as well as a supportive, respectful, and conscientious manner.

  • previous experience leading a group of health professionals to deliver the best possible support to whanau
  • exhibit high personal and professional standards in accordance with their own professional best practice
  • will be a confident communicator
  • ensure contractual obligations are met, the team is working together, and risk is appropriately mitigated  
  • manages a caseload of whanau alongside management responsibilities.
  • ability to build and maintain relationships with the team, whaanau (service users and their families) and stakeholders
  • cross cultural skills and awareness and a commitment to Te Tiiriti o Waitangi. Understanding te ao Maaori/Kaupapa Maaori working environments is desirable  
  • able to work through complex information to make robust, safe decisions and ability to work under pressure

To be considered for this position you must have a legal right to live and work in Aotearoa, New Zealand. As a publicly funded service, we have been subject to Public Health Orders in the past requiring vaccination. As we work with vulnerable communities, we encourage staff to maintain up to date vaccinations.
