As our new Cloud Engineer, you will join a team specialised in hybrid and cloud solutions, advising and providing services through Azure and AWS Cloud services. In this role, you will help our customers understand the strategic and business value of moving to the cloud through presales activities, utilising Azure and AWS to design, implement and operate the cloud infrastructure environment.
This is a great opportunity, as our customers run their environments across Azure and AWS, this role will have the opportunity to support customers across both major public clouds. You'll get to work with our SaaS and ISV customers, alongside other talented Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Solutions Architects.
Key responsibilities will include
- Working collaboratively with customers and their internal teams to ensure optimal security, performance, availability, and cost of their environment
- Providing advice and guidance on best practice, and assisting customers implementing it
- Investigating alerts, monitoring & responding to incidents, escalating issues & working with vendors
- Writing, updating, and deploying infrastructure as code
- Project work - migrations, new environment provisioning, Landing Zone implementations
- This role includes an on-call roster for after-hours support
Your Competencies
- 3+ years’ experience working with cloud services within the Azure or AWS platforms (with related certifications such as AZ-104 or 204 an advantage)
- Experience with web applications ideal (either developing them, or supporting the infrastructure)
- Experience with Docker, containers, Kubernetes & container concepts
- Familiarity with at least one infrastructure-as-code language

- You possess great communication skills and proficiency in the English language, with the ability to build rapport with our customers
- You are a team player with a solution-oriented mindset
