Your Company
This global company are looking for an enthusiastic Cloud Engineer. Someone who can take ownership and make decisions. This is a remote based role with an office based in Auckland.
Your Role
- Passionate about Cyber Security and proven experience implementing Security Controls and System Monitoring.
- Deploying, supporting, and maintaining new and existing infrastructure and applications.
- Liaising with clients and suppliers to identify requirements, solutions and ensuring maximum satisfaction.
- Documentation and automation of application, infrastructure tasks and processes
- Remain knowledgeable of current technology and carry out research to identify new trends that can be used to achieve maximum results.
Key Skills - Advanced Windows and Linux Server administration.
- AWS Cloud Management, including but not limited to EC2, Route53, VPC, RDS, ECS.
- Competent in scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, PowerShell) and JSON, xml etc.
- Relational Database, Postgres, and MS SQL.
- Understanding of networking, server and infrastructure monitoring systems (e.g. Nagios, Cloudwatch)
- Exposure to automation technology and patterns such as DevOps pipeline, Infrastructure as Code, and containerisation, for example Docker, is advantageous but not essential.
- Relevant AWS, Microsoft, or Linux certification highly advantageous.
